If you’re heading to the Big Apple with your family, you’ll want to be near all the main attractions. The Midtown West area balances the convenience of being walkable to places such as Times Square and being close to the Subway stations that take you to Broadway and Central Park. The area is a healthy balance of attractions and safety all in one, so its great for first-time visitors or families to visit the city. 2. North Myrtle Beach, SC

For generations, families have been coming to the Myrtle Beach area to shop, dine, relax or swim in the Atlantic Ocean. My family went here often when we lived in the Carolinas (just 2 hours a day). I sure miss being able to do a day trip to the beach and home. Myrtle Beach has had some trouble with rowdy tourists and locals alike causing problems. My family started going to and staying in North Myrtle Beach. A more relaxed vibe, safer area and no sewer pipes going straight into the ocean. The Myrtle Beach area has countless opportunities with outlet malls, dinner theatres, seafood restaurants, go-karts and putt-putt golf. It’s the perfect family vacation getaway. Stay at the Holiday Shores resort. You get to be there for four nights, and it will only set you back $682.42 (for a standard two queen bed room). Taxes, resort fees and service charge included. 3. Chicago, IL

One of my favorite iconic American cities! The Windy City has something for everyone. Sports, the John G. What a better place than to stay with your family at the StayPineapple, An Iconic Hotel, The Loop. This unique hotel has vaulted ceilings and marble floors. 4. Nashville, TN

Also known as “Nashvegas”, the city has embraced its country music capital. Between honky-tonk places to shows to amazing restaurants, sports and shopping, you’ll find something for everyone! Known for its boutique hotels, wind down each day at the Country Music’s Finest Modern Resort by Grand Ole Opry & Convention Center. These cozy, comfy rooms are near prime shopping and dining and the interstate. A outdoor pool will keep the kids happy. The best part? 5. San Diego, CA

One of the most beautiful cities in the country, San Diego has it all! It’s one of the most weather friendly cities, especially in the summer (think sunny skies, low humidity). If you gamble, you’ll LOVE Las Vegas. If you’re like me, and gambling isn’t your thing…you will also LOVE Las Vegas. About 20 years ago, the city/area realized they needed to have more for families. So, shows, putt-putt courses, and other family attractions opened across the area. You can literally go and spend an entire vacation in Las Vegas and not have to set foot in a casino. You’re also close enough for day trips to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead National Recreation Area, along with the Grand Canyon. Nevada and the Las Vegas area also have natural beauty as well. You should definitely consider checking it out! Stay at the Park MGM Las Vegas. There, you’ll enjoy 4 nights in a comfy 2 queen bed, non-smoking room. The most exciting part? You’re right on the Strip. Vegas is known for great values, and this is one! With taxes, resort fees and service charges, you pay only $893.86!

8. Seattle, WA

Lived in North Carolina for several years and loved my time there. From the mountains to the ocean, they have wonderful recreational opportunities. They also have amazing cities. Located in the mountains, Ashville has recovered quickly from the damaging direct hit from the hurricane a while back. The businesses would really appreciate your visit and support as they recover (a years process for sure!). Think about the scenic beauty there, the shops, and who can not visit The Biltmore Estate, the largest private home in America! Spend 4 nights at The Beaucatcher—A Boutique Hotel.
